Contraindications
Permanent Brows
You are NOT a suitable candidate for permanent makeup if any of the following applies to you:
- Will have a COVID-19 vaccine dose within the next 14 days (NEW)
- Had a COVID-19 vaccine dose less than 21 days ago (NEW)
- Had the 1st COVID-19 vaccine dose and waiting to receive 2nd dose within 4-6 weeks (NEW)
- Under 18 years of age
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Dark pre-existing eyebrow permanent makeup/microblading
- Anyone who has had previous brow work done that has not been pre-approved by us
- Eyebrow laser removal within the last 6 months
- Botox within the last 4 weeks
- Chemical Peel within the last 2 weeks
- Sunburned or irritated skin
- Rashes or blisters in the treated area
- Taken Accutane within the last 12 months
- Taking skin medications such as but not limited to antasure, ro-accutaine and steroids, which thin and make the skin very sensitive
- Serious skin conditions (hyper-pigmentation, eczema, psoriasis, seborrhea dermatitis, etc
- Easily triggered Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH)
- Prone to keloid scarring or hypertrophic scarring (powder brow technique is OK)
- Currently/recently under or scheduled for chemotherapy or radiotherapy
- Had radiotherapy or chemotherapy less than 45 days ago
- Transmittable blood disease such as HIV or Hepatitis
- Heart condition or taking heart medications
- Active skin cancer in the treated area
- Insulin-dependent diabetic
- Bleeding disorders
- Healing disorders
- Autoimmune disorders
- Have epilepsy (in the past or presently)
- Taking blood thinning medications (unless it can be paused 7 days prior)
- Taking steroids or skin medications
- Allergies to alcohol
- Allergies to numbing agents such as lidocaine, tetracaine, epinephrine
- Allergies to pigmentation, dyes and makeup
The following health conditions will require a doctor’s note:

Have other serious health conditions/illnesses not mentioned in the
contradictions list - Non-insulin dependent diabetes
- Taking serious health medications daily
- Radiotherapy or chemotherapy less than 6 months ago
Eyelash Extensions
You are NOT a suitable candidate for eyelash extensions if any of the following applies to you:
- Pregnant
- Experienced severe allergic reactions to lash extensions in the past
- Have a difficult time laying down for hours
- Have sensitive or watery eyes
- Have large gaps in lash line
- Have damaged and weak natural lashes – consider using our in-store lash serums to grow them out first
- Have open wounds around the upper face
- Have Trichotillomania (tendency to pull or twist hair, eyebrows, and/or eyelashes)
- Have eye infections / herpes / styes in the area
- Have Demodex Folliculitis (lash mites)
- Have Blepharitis or Ocular rosacea (inflammation of the eyelids and eyes)
- Had a lash lift service less than 8 weeks ago
- Had semi-permanent eyeliner procedure done within the last 6 weeks
Please consult your doctor for approval if you:
- Had laser eye surgery within the last 2 months
- Had an eye-lift surgery (Blepharoplasty) within the last 4 months
- Have a medical condition related to your eyes, sight or eye area
- Had Chemotherapy in the last 6 months
Lash Lift
You are NOT a suitable candidate for lash lifts if any of the contraindications below applies to you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have claustrophobia and cannot lay down comfortably with eyes closed
- Are sensitive to glues or dyes
- Have very sensitive or watery eyes
- Have large gaps in lash line
- Have very short natural lashes (should be at least 9mm long)
- Have damaged and weak natural lashes -- consider using our in-store lash serums to grow them out first
- Have skin conditions like dermatitis, psoriasis and eczema around the eye area
- Have open wounds around the upper face
- Have Trichotillomania (tendency to pull or twist hair, eyebrows, and/or eyelashes)
- Have a stye or eye infections (Conjunctivitis/pink eye)
- Have Demodex Folliculitis (lash mites)
- Have Blepharitis or Ocular rosacea (inflammation of the eyelids and eyes)
- Had semi-permanent eyeliner procedure done within the last 6 weeks
Please consult your doctor for approval if you:
- Had a recent eye surgery within the last 4 months
- Had laser eye surgery within last 2 months
- Had Chemotherapy within the last 6 months
- Have a medical condition related to your eyes, sight or eye area
Face Waxing
You are NOT a suitable candidate for face waxing if any of the contraindications below applies to you:
- Skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis on the treated area
- Sunburns, moles, cuts or abrasions on treated area
- On Accutane and strong skin medications within the last 12 months
- Using Retin-A in the treated area within the last 8 weeks
